About Stedmz
The history of Stedmz goes back a long way to 1978 when Steve Steadham stepped onto his very first skateboard, a plastic banana board. During this time, he honed his skills at the legendary High Roller Skatepark in Phoenix and the various spillways in and around his hometown with fellow shredders Eddie Williams, Joe Calzon and Pineapple.
In 1981, right around the demise of High Roller, Steve moved out to the mecca of skateboarding, California, and within two years of tearing things up, found himself being signed to one of the greatest skate companies in the history of the sport, Powell & Peralta, he had become a member of the Bones Brigade, the hands down, best skate team ever! This was no small matter, as everyone knows, Stacy Peralta kept his eye out for those who he felt could make a lasting impact on the sport itself. Two years later after paying his dues in the amateur ranks, Steve got his first pro deck with a graphic which would be destined to become an icon, the Steve Steadham Spade!
Steve has always been a pioneer, long before fellow Powell & Peralta teammate Rodney Mullen co-founded World Industries, decades before Danny Way began DC, Steve departed from the most successful skateboard company in the world in order to risk everything on creating his very own brand, Steadham Skate Ind in 1986.
This company still exists to this very day, under the brand of Stedmz, it is a company which has its roots firmly placed in the world of extreme sports by manufacturing quality American pressed skateboards, shoes built to last, wheels to get you flying as well as a line of stylish apparel.
But, there is also an added addition to the product line, and it comes from Steve's own love for something which is enjoyed the world over; coffee! That's right, Steadham makes some of the finest blends out there, grown on the rainforest covered slopes of Hawaii, blends whose rich and savory aromas will wake you up almost as much as their robust tastes!
Steve Steadham has been skating and playing music for well over three decades, and has done some other extraordinary things as well such as, organizing and producing ESPN's Legends Of Vert for the channel's X Games and The Masters of Vert & Street for the Maloof Money Cups.
Now, with the launch of Stedmz, all of Steve's endeavors fall beneath a single umbrella, and it is with you, long time fans and new customers, this company will venture into a bold new future.
